Ground-Breaking for 'The Gathering Place' Imminent
With plans and financing getting full approval from the parish and the diocese, a ground-breaking ceremony will probably be held this month. Completion of the pavilion is expected to require about 150 to 180 days.

The "Gathering Place is a Council project to construct an all-purpose structure on the church grounds where our parish community may gather for parish meetings, activities and social events.
The initial phase will be a pavilion approximating the square footage of the former PAC (St. Barnabas) building, with a large enclosed kitchen facility. for more details.

►Prayer Requests
For our military serving in Iraq and Afghanistan -- for their safe return.

Council Holds Membership Drive at March 25 Masses
Primarily as a result of a membership blitz during the month of March, culminating with an information table during masses on March 25, 13 new members were approved at the April 11 council meeting. Kudos to Membership Director Tony Masterjohn and District Deputy Moe Esker.

Lenten Fish Fry Dinners a 'Whopper'
The council's annual fish fry fund raising event set new records this year in terms of numbers of dinners served and as a fund raiser.

Fish fry chairman Stephen George reports that a record setting 2260 dinners were served.
Thanks to Brother Stephen for a most successful fund raising project
