St. William Fall Fest October 15, 2006

Our Council will have a food booth this year.  I’m excited this year because we will have our new church as our background.  I would like to thank Tom Bayer, who graciously volunteered to be the chairperson for this event.  Please be generous with your time and sign up to help in our booth.  It will be a fun day and we will have a great time working together.   A sign up sheet will be available at Wednesday night meeting.

The following message is from our Brother Tino Hernandez:

“I want to thank our Brother Knights in behalf of the Medical Mission for all your support to make the benefit dinner a huge success. Last month I was in Arteaga delivering the medical supplies and in October I will be in Arteaga with the Medical Brigade.”

I personally would like to thank the following Brother Knights who helped with the food preparation.  We did out best in light of the fact we were missing our head cook; we got a little wet but enjoyed the fellowship.  Thanks for your help!

Jim Barger, Greg Castro, George Flores, Stephen George, Brian Kirking & son Max, Tom Kroll, Larry Lopez and Tony Masterjohn [AND our Grand Knight!].

Knights of Columbus Insurance Program

As the year goes by so quickly, I reflect on the accomplishments our council has achieved thus far.  The Fish Fry, Spring Fest, Golf Tournament and new member recruitment are some of the highlights of this past year.   However, some events fell short of our goals.   One of the goals that we did not meet was recognition as a Star Council.   We do have the opportunity to change that by having our new and current members invest in a Knights of Columbus insurance policy.   I would like to suggest that each of you take the time to review your current insurance needs and please consider what the Knights of Columbus policies have to offer.

10 Reasons why you should do business with the Knights of Columbus

  2. Pays one of the highest dividend rates in the industry, $327 million in 2005.
  3. Provides college scholarships to sons and daughters of member policemen, firemen and military personnel who are killed or permanently disabled in the line of duty as the result of criminal violence.

Michael P. Regan's Field Agent Report:

Children's Insurance

When is the best time to start life insurance coverage on your children? When they are young and in good health.

The Knights of Columbus offers children’s permanent life insurance policies that will stay with them their whole lives. 20-pay policies are affordable and popular among our members. This guaranteed protection that ensures your children will have coverage in the future, no matter the condition of their health.

Because our children’s policies are permanent life insurance, the policy will begin to earn cash value and can even become the foundation of the child’s future estate. Imagine, when your children turn 21, handing them paid-up life insurance policies that can continue to increase in value for the rest of their lives. What a great foundation for them to build on.

To be eligible, the insured child must be the child (or dependent grandchild) of a Knights of Columbus member in good standing. Grandparents, this may be a good time to talk to your son or son-in-law about becoming a member, if he isn’t already. Perhaps you’d even like to help your son or daughter pay for the policy on your grandchild—a wonderful gift for growing youngsters.

That’s it. The rest is easy. There is no more affordable way to help your child or grandchild secure life insurance coverage than to establish a life insurance policy for them while they are still too young too even know what “coverage” means.

For a no obligation quote on a permanent life policy for your child or dependent grandchild, simply call me, your local Kof C Field Agent Michael Regan at (512) 828-6859 or email me at Michael.regan@kofc.org..  You can also check out my website www.mikeregan.net for more information on the Knights of Columbus.

Our children are precious: it’s up to us to protect them.
